Software Test Engineer – Verify Complex Systems

About the Role

As a Software Test Engineer, you will work with testing and verification of software-based systems in technically complex environments. The assignments vary, but they all share a high technical content, structured development processes, and a clear focus on quality throughout the development cycle.

You will work closely with development, systems engineers, and other disciplines, contributing test expertise from requirements interpretation and test strategy to execution, analysis, and improvement work.

Examples of Work Areas

• Planning, design, and execution of software tests at the system and product level
• Requirements-based testing, verification, and traceability
• Creation and maintenance of test cases, both manual and automated
• Debugging, analysis, and reporting of deviations
• Development of test automation, testing tools, scripts, or simulators
• Working in CI/CD environments alongside development teams
• Contributing to the improvement of testing methods, processes, and quality assurance

We are looking for someone who

• Has a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar engineering field
• Has 1–5 years of experience in software testing or verification in technically complex environments
• Has experience in test design, test planning, and systematic testing
• Has good technical understanding and the ability to analyze system behaviors
• Is familiar with programming and can work with test automation or scripts

It is advantageous (but not a requirement) if you have experience with, for example:

• Embedded systems, distributed systems, or systems with real-time requirements
• Test automation in Python, C/C++, Java, or other relevant languages
• Simulation, HIL/SIL/MIL, or laboratory environments
• Safety-critical or regulated industries
